laptop recording laptop

is there a way for me to say play my games on one laptop and record it on another laptop for example i have fallout four playing on my good laptop but i want to use my spare laptop to record me playing it so is there a way to do this

Sure, get a capture card and set it up on the second laptop, but you will need a monitor since the capture card will use a pass-through that will loop back to your computer and laptops don't have a video input.

ok well i was wondering because i was wanting to see if there was a way to set it up so i used my second laptop for the recording but was wondering if there was some kind of dvi or hdmi that pluged into usb and could display it that way but havent found one like that yet so that seems to be the best solution for now
