laptop screen broke

My lenovo laptop screen is broke and I reset my laptop with it connected to my tv via hdmi once it turned back on it will not connect to my tv. What can I do to fix it?

Hi,

There's another way you can make it work with your TV, but it will require you to open the laptop. You'll need to disconnect the built in display from the motherboard then it will make your TV connected via HDMI as the default display and you'll see everything on it.
