Laptop screen replacement

I broke my laptop screen on my msi ge60 which is a high end note book.

Do I need to buy the same screen as the one in there or can I buy any screen as long as it has the same pin patten and screen size, the reason I am wondering this is because my current screen doesn't look very good and would like a higher quality screen.

what are the numbers after ge60 as there is different versions?
