Laptop shuts down when disconnecting from the charger

So recently, my laptop has started to automatically shut down when the battery is low without warning, but now from today the laptop automatically shuts down when I disconnect my charger. Whats the issue?

How old is the battery?

It's most likely the battery, you should have a notification to replace your battery.
Click on the battery icon in the taskbar, for my laptop it says "Consider replacing your battery".

A classic symptom of a worn battery. Isn't that the first thing one would suspect?
