laptop shutting down unexpectedly

the laptop just shut down unexpectedly. wasn't even gaming!! it's a few months old lenovo Z50-70.

That event log has nothing to do with the laptop shutting down. It was an error thrown when you were unable to connect to the network, likely due to naming conflicts. Unless of course you're booting the OS from the network, which I have never come across that with a laptop, outside of setting up for mass cloning.

Was the laptop running on battery or plugged in?
Did you test the laptop on battery only if it was shutting off while plugged in?
Did you get a BSOD? Or just poof power is gone?

Keep checking the event logs, but do realize, not all shutdowns will register an event log.

the laptop was running on sufficient charge actually (around 70%) and did the unexp. today for the first time, no overheating either. hopefully never again. no blue screen an stuff. just poof, shutdown. thanks though. i was worried if it was a windows 8,1 glitch(should i upgrade to the windows 10...?)

No need to upgrade as yet; windows 10 is pretty much in the beta stages & no rollback option is available as off today!
