1. What is your budget? Around $550

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? Any size is fine.

3. What screen resolution do you want? At least 1366x768

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Both.

5. How much battery life do you need? No real need for any specific amount but more is better.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? I don't play games but I've never had a computer to play them on so I don't know what I'd get into.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) Just internet and typing as of now.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? As of now only music will be occupying most of it but not even that much so no real need for a specific size.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. None at the moment but amazon would be the most convenient but other sites shouldn't be a problem.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? For years probably. If it still works of course.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? I would like to watch Blu Rays but not a problem if I don't have a Blu Ray drive.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. No preference at the moment but I am sketchy of low end brands.

13. What country do you live in? America.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed. That about everything you need to know.

I tried another forum but I didn't really get that much help so I'm hoping this will be more helpful.

I did some searching on my own and I'm looking at this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215120

I'd like to know if its worth it and if you guys have any better options to offer. Thanks:)

That looks pretty nice with an i5 but I'm not quite sure where to find that and if it has intel HD3000.

I'm torn between a cheap acer with quadcore and a radeon 6470m or an i5 with intel 3000.

Is the intel 3000 combined with a fast processor more powerful than the 512mb radeon with quadcore?

I'm having a hard time getting an answer=\
