Laptop suitable for Computer Science course

I am currently planning on doing computer science and IT in university in september and really don't know what requirements a computer science course may need in a laptop.I was wondering if any of you have done a similar course and might know or if anyone has any ideas on a good laptop on a student budget that would be able to handle things like detailed blends in blender with no difficulties.Thanks in advance.

Check the university's CS department for minimum requirements or even supported laptops. I've found that often they are quite specific on what you should have.
