(Apologies if asked before, have searched but to no avail)
Hey guys, I am the proud owner of a used ThinkPad T440s. Everything is perfect apart from the worn battery (which is actually still pretty good after 4 years of use).
However, there's one problem. One of the battery release latches has come off. How would this affect my laptop's usability if I intend to hotswap my battery between uses? Would it be worth the effort, time and money to perhaps buy a new base to fix the one broken latch?
Thoughts? Thanks guys, in advance!

Edit: changed reference photo to be more accustomed
Notes: broken latch is the left latch.
