Laptop turns on and off repeatedly

My laptop (MSI GT70 WS) just got this problem where when I hit the power button, the power and HDD led lights up and the fan spins then everything shuts off. Then after a couple of seconds it turns on by itself, goes through the same process again and then shuts off. I runs in this loop over and over again and doesn't stop. I got it stop by timing when it will turn on and at that point hit and hold the power button until it shut down. I need help in getting this fixed. I really need this computer.

When it gets warm i always hit the cooler booster function to ramp up the fans

Two possibilities. The first is that the RAM stick is defective. fix this by trying out a single working stick in each slot. If the problem persists you have a faulty motherboard which would need to be replaced.

Ill look into it but it suddenly started working again and im afraid to turn it off. When I finish my work and get home I ll check it out

I ran the windows ram test and it came back fine and said no problems but I still have this problem

37C on the GPU and CPU at high 40's

Strangely I fixed the problem with a BIOS update
