Laptop USB port

My laptop's (Compaq CQ57-200TU) USB port has been destroyed. I need new ones. Can anyone help me in that. Will different laptop's USB port work in my laptop?

I saw that this laptop have:
External Ports
1 VGA
1 microphone-in
3 USB 2.0
None of these ports is working? For repair this laptop you will need a service help.

Hi

do you mean physical damage to usb socket?
(may be replacable but if located on motherboard requires skill in soldering)

or
burnt out chip on motherboard ?
( probably requires new motherboard )

how did you destroy the usb port(s) ?
