Hi guys. been watchin the forum space for a while now. and i now have a problem so thought of joining and posting here.

i have a toshiba p200 pspb6a-ocso4m below is the link.
http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/index.php/taxid;567450213;pid;5158;pt;1

what has happened is that the video card s not being recognized and so i can not use the max resolution of 1440x900, nor can i play any games, which i do primarily. the windows device manager sees the display adapter as a standard vga disply adapter, when for the past year it has read "mobility radeon HD2600"

i dont know what is wrong. i have had it for a year now, and it is still under warranty.
and i am getting a service, but just wanted to ask first for quick help.

thanks in advance.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. Does it do the same with an external display?

thans for the reply. i solved the problem though. just had to rollback to the 8.4 catalyst drivers and it worked. then updated to 8.11 and it was fine
