Laptop will not turn on

I have a Gray Gateway Laptop NE722 Series 17.3 inch. It will not turn on at ALL. When I press the power button, it never starts. I have already tried the hard reset multiple times. I have also noticed when I unplug the charger off the wall and laptop's charging port, the charger light still indicates that it is on. I think it's my charger that is bad, but I also have another laptop but in red and I tried charging the red laptop with the gray laptop's charger and it worked. Before you say anything about the charger not being the one for the gray laptop, it is and I checked the labels.

If the charging light remains lit when the AC adapter is removed, it's most likely an issue with the internal power jack, not the adapter. You'll need to replace the power jack.

Are you talking about the light on the laptop, or the charging cable itself?
