Laptop Won't Connect After Restore

My Lenovo G50-45 computer screen is broken, and I have been using aN HDMI cord to connect it to my Roku Television. I recently factory reset my computer and now it won't connect to my TV, I have been waiting for hours now, and it still doesn't connect. I've tried restarting, but it doesn't do anything. Please help.

Have you tried fully disconnecting it, turning off the computer (not sleep or hibernate, but off), reconnecting them while it is off and then turning the laptop back on?

Also, you may want to update your video drivers.
