Question Laptop won't open. Black screen flashing

Hi, I'm kinda new here. But i would like to ask what could be wrong with my laptop. My laptop takes too long to boot up. Once i have pressed the power button, it doesnt load immediately, it just keeps black, but when I flash the screen with a flashlight, I can see it flashing. The power light is just on, sometimes i have to wait for 1 to 2 hours (sometimes 3) for it to boot. I thought it could be a software problem, but I reformatted my laptop and nothing happens. I've been thinking if the screen or the battery is the problem. Thank you for the response 😊
