Solved! Laptop won't turn on unless hard restart

Lately, my laptop has been running into an issue where it won't turn on after being closed, unless I hold down the power button for 10 seconds, then attempt to turn it on. This has become an issue because all my unsaved documents just disappear. Is there a fix for this?

save the doc before close.
could be hdd, ram, system board issue.

Go into power settings, change settings where it does not hibernate or suspend when closing lid! I would say Your laptop is hibernating!
