Laptop model : Toshiba P55W-C5200, purchased a brand new one about an year ago.

Without a charger, pressing the power button does absolutely nothing. If I plug out the charger in the middle of using the laptop, it powers off completely.

When I check the battery report, it says the full charge capacity is higher than original capacity, and it says that the cycle count is -2.

My laptop shows that battery is fully charged when it is powered on.

On the same day that my laptop started acting like this, I was able to use the laptop without charger for at least an hour, and it still had more than 50% battery after the use.

-Red circled area is where the battery is connected to the motherboard. Seems like connected properly.
-Yellow circled areas have tapes that collected a bit of dust, could that cause the problem?

Is there way to check to see whether I need to replace the battery or the entire motherboard?
