My SIsters Laptop Stopped Working,It Turns On But The Screen Is Black.

She Left Her Laptop On Overnight,On Her Bed & The Next Day It Didn't Work,Most Likely Overheating.

Whats The Problem most likely & How Much Would It Cost To Get It Fixed Est?

Solution
Have her remove the battery (if possible) and charger, then press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. This is known as a power cycle. After she does this, have her plug the battery and charger back in and boot it.

If the problem is the same, it could be a damaged GPU. You can test this by connecting an external monitor or a TV, if the laptop has an available connection(s) to do so. A damaged GPU won't be an easy fix, but if you get an external picture, then the GPU is probably fine, in which case the screen may have died.

Try the power cycle first. :)
