Hello guys, I have a laptop running on battery but does not work for the AC. He also does not charge the battery. I am an electronic engineer but have no experience with laptop.

My biggest difficulty is that already ran the internet for 1 month and the only scheme that met (in Russian or Ukrainian site, and had to answer a questionnaire on electronics to download. I tried 4 times to get, and can only try one time every 24 hrs !!!!) is the board V1.1 scheme and my board is V1.0. LOT has track and component that does not match. Just to start and illustrate, the battery connector has 7 pins and the scheme says that pin 1 and 2 are shorted and 6 and 7 are short too, but are not on the board. At the plate, the pin 7 will pros 4-pin of a mosfet, so I believe that whether the switch (which switches between AC and battery), but do not know.

In the second picture is short of nonexistent connector.

In the third picture is 4 mosfet's facing 2 unlike other 2. Drain 2 of them comes from carregador.O drain of the other two comes from the battery. Q believe are the four I show in the photo diagram 2, but again, some tracks do not match, so I'm not sure .....

That's it guys, I hope you can help me because it seems a very simple problem and I love this laptop.

There are the V1.1 scheme :

Thank you.

Hello Facchioli

I was wondering if you have already checked if the power adapter is faulty in the first place. You can try using a different adapter, or using your adapter with a different laptop.

In most cases, it is not the motherboard or the power jack or the IC but the power adapter or its cord that is faulty.

Hope this helps. :)

Thank you viveknayy for the answer.

I already check the power adapter, check possible "fails" (i dont know the best word for that i try say, sorry) in DC Jack , check if i have 19V in power pin of most that IC´s ( not all).

In another forum they told me that its a common fail from that "commuter mosfet" that make a switch between AC and battery power. But i dont know where are these mosfet, and , i dont know how can i test before buy another mosfet. I mean, for example, replace that mosfer by another one of the same board, only to see if will turn on the laptop.

U right Jarotech. The scheme is from board Version 1.1 but my board is version 1.0. I cant find the right schematic. This is a generic mainboard that is used in some "brandless" notebooks. Here in Brazil, my Notebook is an Microboard Iron I5xx, and i know that another brazilian brand use this board called Space.

Yes, I'm talking about the U15 chip from your pictures. The schematic did not represent your motherboard, so no good for us. The number you give me don't refer to any chip. The pictures are not detail enough to read the number on the chip. If you can give me the other numbers on this chip, the numbers will help to identify the chip. I think this chip switches the power between the adapter and the battery for the laptop. Also, it charges the battery.
