Discussion Latest Android software update is awful.

I just had my S23 updated last night and the new layout is annoying. Battery percentage is not just a numerical value, but a small circle with varying shaded area with the number. Screen icons are smaller it seems,

I want to assume it was designed by a younger person with very good eyesight...lol. My eyes are pretty good but the contrasting icons are not helpful.

While you may not be enjoying the update, most of the items you listed are things that you can change and customize yourself through various settings. Including adjusting the colors and icon sizes, etc. You may wish to review some of the Samsung Support content.

Thanks, yes..I can change layout but why even change the sizes? I don't want the 4x6 layout. The battery percentage is now in a shaded circle, just leave it as a numerical value.

It's a nitpick but why change it?

The latest Android software update is honestly awful. The interface feels clunky, and several useful features seem to have been removed or changed for no reason. Battery life has noticeably decreased , and some apps are now glitchy or crash altogether. It feels rushed and poorly tested. I hope they listen to user feedback and release a fix soon, because this version has really hurt the overall experience.

Mine has been absolutely terrible. UI crashes. Lag when I open the phone. Random lag when Im doing something already such as typing. It stops responding. It catches up eventually but its getting frustrating to say the least. Today alone my phone restarted 4 times on its own. Galaxy s22 ultra.

Mine has been absolutely terrible. UI crashes. Lag when I open the phone. Random lag when Im doing something already such as typing. It stops responding. It catches up eventually but its getting frustrating to say the least. Today alone my phone restarted 4 times on its own. Galaxy s22 ultra.
