Had a LAN Party a week ago, had close to 25 and it was great. My e1705 did wonderfully. Sure is nice to have a decent laptop for gaming. Anyone remember the days when you couldn't find a decent gaming laptop? Things sure have changed for the better.

It's a 7900 GS GPU system.
Pulls about 6,300 3D'05 Marks, about 50% less than a 7950 GTX.

GPU chart

Best to get it from DELL with a dog video card then get a 130 watt ps and northbridge chipset cooler and throw a 7900 GTX in it yourself. Pretty common mod. The Inspiron 9400 series is the exact same system as a XPS so the upgrade parts are easy to come by.

Dont hate me killer, but now that you mentioned the mod, how much would that cost? I am guessing a lot? I guess I could sell the 7900gs on ebay for a little bit.

PS - Killer has some nice notebooks for high end people. :)

The PS and Northbridge is probably $100 (the ps is a necessity), if you have the 6 cell battery the 9400 series came standard with, you really should have the 9 cell. DELL hits you for like $249 for that which is absolute crazy talk, but is necessary. The GTX needs the juice.

A 7900 GTX with 512 MB runs about $415 or so, the 256 MB is cheaper (I think DELL has it for like $365), but if you're going to go for it, you might as well go all the way. I wouldn't recommend the 7950 because of that weenie roast heatsink that DELL uses (you can see it on the following links).
