I'm about to upgrade my phone and I want to stick with the Samsung brand (I
currently have the VGA-1000/a620). How long has the MM-A700 been out? Is
there anything newer than that model?

TIA

I know someone who just got either an A700 or A740, seems like a nice phone.
But I forget which one it was. :)

The big issue with Samsungs is RF performance. Some models handle poor signals
well, some don't. I have been told by others in this newsgroup that the 740
does well. The 700 probably does too. The 660 I originally bought when I
activated my line on our family accounts is a great phone but chokes on weak
signals.

(Email me if you want to sell your VGA-1000. I want one. The VGA-1000 is
another Samsung that is supposed to have really good RF performance.)

Also, are there any new phones from Samsung that will be coming out soon for
SprintPCS?

TIA

Brand loyalty. Plus 18 months is coming up and I would like to take
advantage of the $150 rebate. Plus I do a lot of text messaging and my
current phone doesn't support the new SMS feature found on newer phones.

I just bought the A760. Great phone if you don't need a camera.
Speaker & voice dial. Check it out.

I have Sanyo PM-8200 and it's an ok phone that I have no complaining about
how it works and looks, except the weird Phone Listing and confusing Menu
that I have been using it for a year but still can't get around the Menu
(except 2-3 options I use daily).
