Sharp flashing, won't come on even with remote.only a year an half old.needs a reset.please tell me how too

Hard Reset

1.Unplug the television.
2.Press and hold the "Channel Down" and "Input" buttons on the panel.
3.Plug the television back in while holding down these buttons. ...
4.Keep holding the buttons until the television powers back on. ...
5.Use the remote to navigate the "Service Mode" menu and select "Factory Reset" from the menu.

If that doesn't work, I would think about replacing the main board.
