Lenovo B570 doesn't connect to TV

I have a Lenovo B570 that does not recognize the TV when I connect it to the HDMI1 port, however, it does work when I plug in on the HDMI2 port. The TV says "No signal" and the laptop does not recognize any connection, it doesn't even make the windows sound of when you plug in a device, but everything works fine on the HDMI2 port which is what confuses me. I'm using a Philips 43PFG5101/77 as TV.

I have to be honest and say, if it works on the the one (even though doesn't on the other) does it really matter? As long as it works.

If you are just wanting to know the reason for it, it would depend on how the port on your laptop is set up and how the ports on the TV are. It is completely possible that the port on the TV can only accept certain things/types of devices. It happens a lot. It is also possible that someone installed them backwards before you purchased it. There are a few other reasons I can think of, but nothing that would effect what you need, which is to view it on the TV.
