Lenovo Bios Update

Hi,
I recently bought a Lenovo laptop 6 months ago and I keep receiving a request for a Lenovo BIOS update.
Not sure if it's a regular thing as I tried once to permit the update and it took me to a website where it requested remote access to my computer and someone to take over the laptop. I quickly cancelled the operation as I wasn't sure if it was a bona fide request from Lenovo. It would be great if someone could please let me know if this is normal with Lenovo Bios updates.

I seriously doubt that the manufacturer would do that. To date I have never ever heard of that happening in a legit way. Now a scam person, they totally would do that. It is best that you cancelled it.

Go to Lenovo support page, find your laptop, and download "Lenovo Portal" or "Lenovo Vantage". You can also download BIOS update manually, and install it.
