Lenovo G505s not charging

i have a Lenovo g505s laptop. last night it stopped charging. I thought it was charger's fault. But it seems to be working perfectly on my other Lenovo laptop (my brother has the same), and his laptop's charger is not charging my laptop. So , now I know its my laptop's fault. What do you think is wrong with my laptop?


Note: Just before this happened , the charging light indicator and the power light indicator on my laptop were flashing on and off, I posted on Lenovo forums, but never got an answer.

Hi, if you try the battery from your brother's laptop in yours, is the battery charging? If yes, then you need a new battery. If it will not charge, then the problem is coming from your laptop.

Even the battery from my brother's laptop didn't work. The laptop is performing normally , its just that laptop is not charging whn I plug it in.

I took my laptop to a local repair shop, since my laptop's warranty is over and they will do it for cheap. But I really don't trust them. They say the ICs on the Motherboard may be damaged and they have to replace them. I really dont know much about this hardware stuff.

Yes, you sure have a MOSFET or an IC that is defective and must be replaced.
