Lenovo ideapad 110 Black screen

Tried hooking up external monitor which when i do so i can see the desktop ect. Also when i shine torch on the screen i can just about make up what is there. Not sure if there is driver issue or the actual back light is at fault

My first tought would be backlight
do you have a different computer/laptop to test the monitor with?
