lenovo ideapad 300 not switching on

Number light comes on when i press start then nothing happens. Laptop does not boot up.

You need to do some disconnecting of things, unplug the battery and CMOS battery from the motherboard, hold in the power button for about 30 seconds. Without the CMOS battery in, try to turn it on. If it turns on and goes to the BIOS screen, plug in everything again and see if it works.
