Question lenovo laptop question.

I have a work laptop with an nvidia rtx A1000 installed. I routinely use a docking station to connect to 3 monitors. When using a usb-c to a docking station, is that Nvidia card doing anything or is the intel processor graphics doing the work?

It may depend on the GPU you are putting on the system at any given time.

It is a Thinkpad P16v Gen 1 (system model 21FC003US). I connected a Dell 4k monitor to the docking station but can only get resolution to 2048 x 1152, even though the docking station says it supports up to 8k@30hz.

The other two monitors run at 2560 x 1440 and 1920 x 1080

If so, this is the likely limitation.

If you only have 2 displays attached to the DP ports, does the behavior change?

Well, my computer just kinda goes nuts when I unplug any but the 4k dell monitor. Unplug one of the others and it constantly connects\disconnects from the docking station. I'm suspecting the dock is probably the issue.
