Lenovo R50 - mobile broadband

Does my Lenovo R50 support mobile broadband? I have inserted a dongle from Three but nothing happens. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you load the software that came with the dongle?

Hi, sorry about taking so long to get back to you. I have tried the dongle in my otherXP PC and it started to load up the software but the laptop is still dead. It just doesn't seem to register that the dongle is there though it flashes and the laptop beeps when the dongle is inserted or removed.
