Hi All,

I was about to watch a video on YouTube hut nothing shows at all (black screen on every video) I tried vlc and it says "hardware acceleration unavailable, switching to hardware"

Is my tablet knackered or would a hard reset help?

You might want to try with uninstalling your youtube app, then restart the tablet (not reset just restart) and then reinstall the app.

Well I tried that and it didn't work, I could watch YouTube through the browser fine but not the app. VLC also wouldn't play any of my videos using hardware acceleration but I did a hard reset on the tablet and now all is well.. Bizarre!

Hmm. Interesting. Perhaps another setting was changed (or settings), or another app was interfering. So many variables. I am glad you got it sorted.
