Hi, I have a very old lenovo Y410 laptop. Earlier it used to take like 10 mins to boot up and get to windows. I asked one of the laptop repair guy, he said that its the hard disk problem, and advised me to continue using it like this as long as it lasts. Finally one day it stopped working. Now when I switch on the laptop, it just stays at Intel Screen, F2/F12 to get to BIOS is also not working.

I took out the hard disk and attached it to my desktop, it works fine...
Later on I realized that when ever i power it on. the fan spins for a second and stops, the power led stays on, and intel screen stays on my monitor .. then nothing happens.
what should I do now.. is there a way to repair it? any suggestions?

Hmmmmmmmm... Remove your laptop battery and disconnect the power adapter. Then, hold on the power button for 30 seconds. This will discharge the laptop capacitors. Plug the power adapter in and turn it on and see what happens. If you can get into bios, try to reset all your settings and restart.
