I am really confused 🙁
I need to be able to play BF4 at medium (or atleast low settings)
Questions:
I will either buy baseline y410p
IdeaPad Y410p High-Performance 14" Multimedia Laptop from Lenovo | Lenovo (CA)
or acer Aspire V7-482PG-6662 Ultrabook
Buy the Acer Aspire V7-482PG-6662 - 14 - Core i5 4200U at TigerDirect.ca
1)How big of a performance difference and batterylife difference is there between 4200M and U? is it tangible? I mean can I do virtually all the things identically on either of laptops? including say playing bf4 at the lowest settings?
battery: about 3 hours on full brightness on wifi and internet is acceptable for me
weight: I can tolerate some weight difference.like if one is 0.5 lbs heavier
2) I know, one can add extra SSD in lenovo, via ngff or removing dvdrom, Can I do something about it in ACER?
3) your opinions, biases, experiences? Anyadvantages of expandability I have overlooked
4 prices: CAD 871 for acer, CAD 860 lenovo.
When will I buy? ASAP! -unless a very good deal is expected to come.
STATS: Lenovo in red , acer in black
Lenovo 13.77 x 9.64 x 0.59-1.29 inches , about 5.5 pounds
Acer: 13.4x 9.4x 0.9, about 4.6 pounds
4th Generation Intel Core i5-4200M Processor (2.50GHz 1600MHz 3MB)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4200U
Windows 8 64
Operating System: Windows 8, 64-bit
14.0" HD Glare with integrated camera
14” Full HD IPS touch (1920 x 1080)
1366x768NVIDIA GeForce GT750M GDDR5 2GB
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 750M with 4GB VRAM --any word if it's Gddr5 or lower, if lower, how low?
6.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz
Memory: 8 GB -presuming it's ddr3l sdram 1600mhz???
500GB 5400 RPM
500 GB hard disk drive, 24 GB solid state drive
DVD Recordable (Dual Layer)
none! good or bad, depends.......can I add a ngff or any secondary harddisk IN acer? or increase 24 gb cache size, by replacing a card or something? I already have an external dvdrom.
Intel Centrino Wireless N-2230
802.11a/g/n, Bluetooth® 4.0 presumably more versitile wifi then lenovo's?
