what is the proccess i have to do to short the jumpers at this laptop to reset bios. [ i updated yesterday, and it failed. Today i turn on my laptop and had black screen but laptop was on, also keyboard had red light and everything. i locate the jumper at motherboard i had to tear it to find a way to fix it. it has 2 jumpers jme1 and jcmos2 under of rams. also it has a cable go to jcmos1 and is switchable (good news or no i do not know )

Why did you have to tear apart the laptop in order to reset the BIOS? Why could you not have just hit F2 or DEL when you start it up? Would the laptop have started up normally before you tore it apart? You could have made things much worse than they are by doing that.

If you were trying to update the BIOS and it failed, then refuses to boot, you are probably SOL.

And resetting the BIOS on a laptop via shorting pins requires that you know exactly which pins need to be shorted, information not easily found - not that this would solve the problem after a failed BIOS flash.

i think i know lenovo manuals doesnt say anything about pins but under the ram slots is 2 pins. which is propably that

A few minutes is not enough time. Other than jumpers this is the only way. The capacitors must fully discharge so that there is no electrical current through the system.

i will try this tonight and and i will let it all night tommorow i will tell you the results
