Lenovo Y580 Terrible Wifi

Hi everyone,

I own a Lenovo Y580 and I am having some terrible wifi issues.

When I connect to the internet, wirelessly, it is constantly dropping connection and having massive lag spikes. My MacBook Pro has no wifi issues on the same router, and I sadly have to use it if I want to play any games (and it only have a NVIDIA 9400m with 256mb integrated), as it is more effective.

The Y580 is running Windows 8, if that helps at all.

I have an earlier version of the y580 (windows 7) and I do not have the wifi issues you seem to be having (However, sometimes when resuming from sleep I have to deactivate and reactivate the wifi card to get it to work. This is rare however). Have you tried installing the newest drivers?
