lenovo y720 ram upgrade

so my lenovo got samsung ddr3 2400mhz 1.2v 8gb single channel ram and i upgraded it with crucial 2400mhz 8gb 1.2v but it does not shows up i still see 8gb

never mid i had to push deeper.. now +20-30 fps to games
