Lenvo laptop won´t properly shut down or wake up.

Hello!

I have new Lenovo laptop and Windows 10.

When I turn it off, it seems to work, but power light is still on. And I can´t turn it on. Power light burns and screen is black. Only when I hold power button down for some time and light turns off, can I then turn laptop back on.

UPDATE: If I shut laptop down from Windows menu, screen goes black, but the small power light burns. If I just leave it like this, then after 10 - 15 minutes, laptop suddenly wakes up all by itself.

my experience is pre win10 but on my win7 machines, but I would do the following:

go into control panel>power options
look for what power button does
typically it is set to sleep as a default not shutdown
I have seen terabytes of complaints with sleep mode
I recommend that everyone change their power button
functions to either shutdown or hibernate. both of these
options yield far more consistent and reliable results than
sleep mode.
