Solved! Lg smart tv turns on then turns off after a few seconds

My lg smart tv just started turning off after it is turned on in just a few seconds. What could be the problem?
I replaced the batteries in the remote but it still shuts off before i can check any settings

It has nothing to do with the remote. It could be many things but my first guess would be a bad power supply. You can unplug the TV from AC for 5 minutes. Not likely to help but worth trying before you look into repair.
