[citation][nom]dalethepcman[/nom]Nintendo is in vary real danger of becoming the next Sega of the gaming industry. Current gen android phones can install and use game boid to run pretty much any gameboy games, if you connect a Wii Mote to it then it becomes a descent gaming experiance, hell I can even connect my android to my TV to play on a big screen. It costs less and oh did I mention it also makes phone calls.. There is a niche market for portable gaming, but as smartphone prices come down and customer awareness goes up the niche will shrink into oblivion. This is something that even the blind can see, its only a matter of time.[/citation]

So you're comparing a platform with games developed for 3D by some of the industry's top developers to a platform that can install an emulator to play games that are 5-10 years old and won't benefit from 3D. Oh, and you also need to bring along an extra piece of hardware just to have some controls (two if you actually want decent controls with a classic controller).

Which is irrelevant anyway since they'll likely release FREE emulators for the 3DS.

Can we please be done with the whole 3D fad? Movies, games, TVs... It's a cool gimmick, but nothing else. I really doubt it'll stick around, but then I've been wrong before.
