Light gaming laptop for my son

Hello, I am looking for a light gaming laptop for my 9 year old. I would like it to last a few years. I want to spend less then $400. Here are the two I have been looking at. I have NO CLUE when it comes to computers, hoping to get some insight. Which one would you buy, is there something better out there? Thanks!!!! Would a dual core work, for games like mine craft? Thanks you all soooo much!!!

Try this one. The HP Pavilion g6 is also really good, but is $429 at best buy.
