Solved! Lines across and down my laptop screen

have different color lines across and down middle of my laptop since my son dropped it about a foot off the coffee table on its side

I'd imagine either your LCD is cracked OR could be the video card is broken. I'd lean towards the LCD being cracked though

Might be cocaine, try a straw and sniff it up.
