I was wondering if I could try liquid metal on my laptop. I know there are some risks I should be aware of, but I seen people on YouTube, like Linus who use liquid metal on his acer predator laptop, and saw amazing results and I was thinking I should go for it, will it be okay lmao?

That last word is quite disturbing to see in a thread asking whether liquid metal on a laptop is a good idea or not. IMHO, if your laptop is expendable, you can go ahead. If it's more like a prized possession, you should deal with high quality thermal paste like MX-2/MX-4/Artic Silver and call it a day.

YT videos by people you've just mentioned have stuff handed to them for free, so even if their hardware dies after said publicity stunt, they're not affected by the loss.

BTW, how old are you? You didn't need to ruin the thread title with that anagram'ization...

And sorry I’m 16, I didn’t know you could do that. But I have a Eluktronic laptop, comes with a gtx 980m and a 6700hq. Temps are okay on max for both don’t even seem to touch 80c. But I just really wanted to see if liquid metal really helps that’s why, and I’ve also heard that it can corrode you die or aluminum heat sinks. Is that true?
