Solved! Locate battery icon life

Solution
Laptops, that's true. And that's what I assumed you had.

Unless you have a UPS backup battery for your desktop there really isn't a battery that needs battery life monitoring.
For a desktop the only battery in your tower is the tiny RTC battery that probably will last the lifetime of the tower.

Looking in Control Panel (Power Options) doesn't show anything referencing battery life icon. Can anyone be more specific?
Thanks,
Poppinanna

Thanks for the reply; however, when in Control Panel and clicking Power Options, nowhere can I find any reference to Advanced tab no matter where on screen or on which side of mouse I click. Worse, when I manage to have gotten to someplace (?) that gives the battery icon option...it's grayed out, so no go!

Can be more specific? Thank you!

Yes, it's a desktop, and the icon I'm referring to is the one indicating the battery life status, which icon shows how much battery life the computer has left.

Does this help??

Thanks
