Logitech G230 for CSGO?

Hey guys, I'm thinking about purchasing the logitech G230's do you think the sound quality and mic will be good for hearing footsteps and chatting?

Those gaming headsets are trash but yes it will suffice for basic listening and talking.

They are cheaper, but certainly NOT trash!!

The G230 is a very good headset when you plug it into a good sound card. But even if not it's still a good gaming headset. I had the G430 and it had very good sound, but was crushing my head enough that i was getting bad headaches, so i exchanged it for a Corsair Vengeance headset.

This kind of thing is subjective obviously. Personally I think that all "gaming" headphones (tried several) are trash. I owned the Corsair Vengeance cans and could not stand them. I would seriously consider going to a store like Frys or Microcenter and trying for yourself that way you can make the determination what is "good enough" for you.

the short answer is yes they will work for CSGO and the likes but generally you get what you pay for with cans imo.

RE: G230s:

When I tried them, the pad ontop of the g230s was unbearbale when I tried it, not comfortable at all. But again, this is a very subjective choice so OP should try some and make a call.
