Looking between an HP Omen or Lenovo Legion

Hello. I have about $1200 to spend on a laptop that can run my Oculus Rift on the go. I have to buy from B&H since I have credit to spend with them. I'm looking between 2 laptop models with similar specs and wanted to guage some opinions if i may.

They look similar except the Lenovo seems to have a 144hrtz panel and M.2 memory rather than an SSD. It's been a while since I've looked into laptops so any insight regarding brand standards and reliability is much appreciated. Thank you.

I'd get the Lenovo but I'm a little worried if you're not going to miss the mechanical hard drive that is not present on it. There is a version of the Y7000 with half the SSD but with a 1TB HDD(like this one, to that, something tells me that you could add a 1TB mechanical drive in later.

I've been wondering that, myself. I keep trying to find pictures of the underside to see if adding a mechanical drive later is an option, but so far i haven't found anything.
