Looking for 2 in 1 laptop

Hi all,

I am looking for a preferably 2 in 1 laptop or with like 360 hinge on which I can do sketching so it needs to have a good pen with tilt recognition and so on and to use Photoshop on. I dont really mind the size of it but something in the 14" would be great I think. Can be a bit smaller or a bit larger. I would like it to have a good battery life as I will be on the go with it. I dont have a make preference. But my price range would be something like £500 maybe £600 at a push.

Do u have any recommendations? Any more questions just ask.

I would prefer for the laptop to have windows 10 which is what I didnt include. These pens are not that great, I would need something like the wacom pens which the lenovos use, the dell inspirion 13 7000 seems like an option but a bit on the expensive side. I havent heard a lot of good about toshibas. Would it work well with photoshop and sketching on thr go?

ok so i did some resreach and as far as i can see it can use windows 10 which means it can run photoshop.
so if thats what your looking for go for it! and it does come with a great stylus.

this one that i recommended is not good for on the go, if thats what your looking for then Don't get this one because the glare on the screen is awful just being out in the sun a little renders the screen useless.

but it has a better processor than most of the other 2 in 1's and will run at very high speeds.

this is an accessory for a computer...


the graphics tablet is much better for what, I think, your trying to do. you just have to get a computer to use it with and it is much more expensive than the 2 in 1.

Well I want something that I can take say to school or when Ill be going out on a trip to do sketches and to use photoshop. As I only have a desktop and not a laptop. So I was wondering if the cintiq can be used without a computer and like on the go or I actually need a laptop additionally. If I would need a laptop to it then like a 2 in 1 laptop would be better as then I can take it somewhere and do sketches and stuff like that, but it would need to have a good screen with a good stylus. Or is it possible to buy a better stylus for it?

which version? the 4GB RAM or 8GB RAM or 8GB RAM 256GB SSD?

Well it would be either the 4gb ram or 8gb ram and the HDD it depends if I can spend £680, it would more likely be the first one for £500.

ok personally i wouldn't get the extra ram if your just doing sketches and things like unless you were going to get the SSD because it is always good to have an SSD just in case.... but you could just get an SSD separate.

so if you are willing to spend £500 for that one i think that it is amazing for that price.

then later if you want a more precise screen with more options you could get the Cintiq 13hd.

but i wouldn't expect the dell to have a good pen AT ALL so you could just get one separate:

all screens are capacitors so as long as the pen works on a screen then it will work on any screen. so get what ever one you want i was just trying to suggest cheap things.

the only thing that will depend on the screen/tablet is pens with buttons on them.... they will need a compatible tablet/screen.

I see. So for now the dell seems like a good option. In the future I could use the cintiq as an add on to my desktop, it would be great if it would work by itself though

As good as anything the dell is a normal computer and has a good processor so it should work perfectly.

ok i didnt under stand what you were asking here it actually does matter about the screen as far as how precise the pen is. the higher the quallity of the screen the lower the precision in the pen but the bigger the screen the more precision of the pen.

that would be because of the screen

the only precision that the pen and change it how much of the screen it touches anything else would have to have a screen that was programmed to make adjustments for pressure.
