Looking for a Gaming Laptop

Hi guys I'm looking for a new gaming laptop that will be used for other intense applications as well and I'm not too sure which one I should get. I've been doing a lot of research and for my budget it looks like I've narrowed down my search to a few different laptops.

Lenovo Y50
Price: $999 US
Specs:
Intel Core i7 4710HQ (2.50GHz)
8GB Memory 1TB HDD 8GB SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 2GB
1920 x 1080

MSI GE Series GE60 Apache-469
Price: $969
Specs:
Intel Core i7 4710HQ (2.50GHz)
8GB Memory 1TB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M 2GB GDDR5
1920 x 1080

Really it's between these two for my price but if you can find any others that have similar specs I'm open to suggestions. My main concerns are the cooling on these laptops (which one is better), fan noise (which one is less noisy) and the screen quality (I've read the Lenovo can have a horrible screen). Please give me some feedback on what you guys think. Thanks!

Yes, I would like to game at the best possible settings for my money.

Some VM's and other intense applications.

Not important, probably gonna buy an ssd also

I like most brands besides Acer, Hp, and Toshiba. I prefer (Lenovo, Dell, MSI, Asus)

I believe you shouldn't have noise problems with either option

The Lenovo doesn't provide vibrant colors and it may be hard to difference some things when playing action games. The view angle is pretty bad too, therefore, MSI wins this round

When I'm not an expert on the colors on either brand and model but just looking at the components the Lenovo is the better value (the 860 GP and the 8 GB SSD. Probably is battery life counts it looks like Lenovo will be better because of 5400 rpm HD and SSD.

Since I am looking at these laptops as well, I thought I'd share some of my knowledge.
The Y50 has the better GPU and CPU and an hybrid drive. But that turns out to not be much of a succes.
MSI usually has a better workmanship and although the GPU and CPU are slightly less powerfull, the HDD is quite a lot better.
