Looking for a laptop !!

I know nothing about laptops but I would really like to have one.

My budget is around $1000

I will mainly be using the laptop for Netflix, Youtube and browsing the internet.

I want the laptop to have great battery life.

I am not sure if SSD laptops are worth the price because the ones I looked at are only 128GB and are well over $1000 unless they are refurbished.

I wouldn't mind a refurbished laptop if it works like new.
