i got lenovo legion y 520 6 gb ram 2.5 ghz ddr4
i wish to upgrade it so am i suppoust to buy another 6 gb ram ddr4 2.5 ghz ? or lower 6 gb will be okey?!

Your laptop shows to have two ram slots. If you must go for a ram upgrade, you should upgrade with a 2x4GB kit or a 2x8GB kit. Seeing how you can max out at 16GB's I'd suggest going for a 2x8GB DDR4-2400MHz kit.

Are you sure you didn't read 2.5GHz as the processor speed and not the ram speed?

There aren't any y520 laptops sold with 6gb of ram. A 6gb ram stick doesn't exist so it would be a combination of 1 2gb stick or 1 4gb stick.
