A portable laptop that is powerful enough to be used as a desktop replacement

>2 hours

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Crysis on medium BF:BC2 on high settings (maybe medium) call of pripyat and some old games like age of empires 2 and 3. Mostly light to medium gaming

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)

Watching movies surfing the internet heavely and playing games

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

Anything over 320gb is overkill to me honestly as I rarely exceed 50-60gb basicly i will take the lowest hdd capacity

2-3 years i will use this in college

11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

At least a dvd-rw but a blu ray player would be nice but not a necessity.

I like hp and asus a lot. I hate apple more than anything in this world, but am considering a macbook pro 15 i5 for $1550 slightly used. (i dont hate there products just the people they tend to attract :)

320gb hardrive
4gb ram
256mb vram
1440x900 display or 1680x1050
9 hour battery

and the hp envy 17
core i7 at 1.6ghz
8gb ram
1gb 5850
1920x1080
2.5 hour battery (6 cell) with a extra (9 cell) battery free

I need a new laptop because my asus g73-a2 died on me and i got a refound

Well if you aren't going to play those games that you mentioned, then you don't need a VGA as powerful as 5850M/5870M, something like GT 330M/HD 5650M suffices.
Sager NP7110 would be a great choice

Between this and MBP,well the Sager one will give you more performance and costs cheaper,whereas MBP has a better build quality,more battery life and better display quality and its lighter too
