Looking for a working laptop - ~1000$

Hey there!

Been looking for a 14/15" working laptop, mainly for:

• 
  Photoshop
  Autocad
  Sketchup

Heard recommendations for:

• 
  i7 HQ
  GTX 960M ~

Have seen mainly Lenovo Y700's that meet the requirements, would like to hear about any other suggestions.

Seen some of them, wondering whether there are any that are not "designed" for gamers?

Yeah they'll all have at least a 950 or 960. It's hard to find a good production laptop that doesn't come with a mid-ranged video card.

Asus's GL552 meets that criteria, though it is designed for gaming (http/www.laptopmag.com/reviews/laptops/asus-rog-gl552)
Dell's Inspiron 15 7000 uses AMD graphics, but it's pretty good for the money (http/www.laptopmag.com/reviews/laptops/dell-inspiron-15-7000)

Obviously, if you want to do CAD work, the best choice is to get a workstation-class laptop with Nvidia Quadro graphics, but you're talking about spending at least $1,500 for something like that. Amongst light-weight workstations, we really like the Dell Precision 5510 (http/www.laptopmag.com/reviews/laptops/dell-precision-5510)

Have you thinkers about MSI's workstation. It is designed for the photographics and modelings! It could definetly meet your requirement.
